I am often available for consulting partnerships where my team uses data to examine how HR practices affect business and employee success.
My area of expertise is in employee engagement with a focus in using data to inform HR practices. There are several ways collaboration could be mutually beneficial:
- The organization gets free evidence-based consulting. My PhD students and I would devote time to collecting and analyzing data that answers questions central to your interests. We’ll benchmark your data against other organizations and offer our take both on any specific questions you have as well as opportunities/successes we see in the data.
- The findings are unbiased. I don’t have solutions, software, or programs to sell—my team is exclusively interested in what’s really going on in organizations. We’re not paid to find problems, agree with anyone’s pet projects, or tell you what you want to hear.
- The project advances research. We are able to provide these services free of charge because we use the research to advance knowledge about leadership and management in organizations. Your company would be highly disguised in any reports we prepare for academic audiences (I can share examples of how this has looked in the past). These types of partnerships are my role in helping the University of Kansas maintain its position as a top research university.
At the moment, I’m particularly interested in understanding how leaders support followers through the day-to-day dynamics of work. My team is working data from organizations in the non-profit, public service, and public company space. Reach out if your organization might be interested!
